Congratulations to Taryn from Style Phenomenon for winning my Shabby Apple giveaway! It was actually the first giveaway I've ever had. Hopefully, I will have more in the future. :) Thanks to everyone else who participated!

stay young

All photos from Tumblr

The whirl of summer has been sucking me in tenfold, it ultimately arrived as the final school bell rang last Wednesday and with it called the need for piƱa coladas and a possible pre-soundtrack to my next three months. No matter what age you are, whether your pursuits are esoteric or on the contrary, every summer comes with a carefree state of mind and a universal excuse to indulge in youthful freedom! Sailboats and lake water, longer days, bare skin, eating outdoors, late afternoons spent lazing in the grass and musings about everything that catches your eye, running through sprinklers in the midst of heatwaves, sand between your toes, barbecues and watermelon smiles, little chiffon dresses, and most importantly... wandering around random grocery stores just for the free air conditioning.

right in the thick of love, at times we get sick of love

One of my all-time favorite songs. Ordinary People by John Legend.

About a month ago, I was contacted by WhatToWear to become one of their "featured stylists." Flattered and surprised that they even considered asking me, I've been looking forward to being part of the program for quite awhile, and I'm very excited to say that the site has finally launched!
WhatToWear.com is a new Q&A fashion website powered by Like.com and Glamour magazine, where visitors can get advice from real people in real time, including some of my favorite fashion bloggers, as well as a rounded up team of professional A-List stylists such as Nicole Chavez, Andre Austin, and Tammy Eckenswiller, who style celebrities from Scarlett Johansson and Mary-Kate Olsen to Kanye West.
Fashion advice seekers (and givers), this place is for you.

Feel free to ask me any styling questions on my profile, here!

easy breezy

Wearing | gifted seafoam green cardigan • gifted polka dot tank dress • DIY sheer mesh and lace trim scarf

I thought I got this question a lot, I've even had guys ask me, and now, a (male) teacher asked me. I think this is enough. Yes, everyone, yes. My hair is naturally wavy. I pinky-promise.

shabby apple giveaway

I've had a love affair with candy-striped garments for as long as I can remember, there's just something about the combination of red and white that catches my eye, which is why I'm very excited to say that I've teamed up with Shabby Apple to give away this beauty!

I'm surprised I've never heard of Shabby Apply before they e-mailed me, the moment I browsed through their site, I instantly fell in love with how sophisticated and modest their dresses are, perfect for a classic picnic at the park or a sunny afternoon out in town... and as the temperature constantly rises, how can you resist another (free) dress in your closet?

To enter, you must be following this blog as well as Shabby Apple's blog, and leave a comment saying so, along with your-email address.

I'll randomly pick a winner on June 30th.

For additional entries, you can do (up to two) of the following:
1. Tweet by copying and pasting "#giveaway for @ShabbyApple Enter to win a pretty new dress http://bit.ly/9QJWY8 Please RT"
2. Follow @shabbyapple on Twitter
3. Post about this giveaway on your blog with a link to Intangible and Shabby Apple
Make sure you let me know by leaving a separate comment for each thing you do.

*Contest is limited to residents within the United States only, and Shabby Apple is offering all my readers 10% off with coupon code intangiblee10off :)

thieves like us

Very rarely do I buy skirts. I usually either construct them myself or alter something else into them. Below, I'm wearing a cardigan-turned-skirt. I thrifted the used-to-be-dress awhile back (which turned out to look obnoxiously unflattering on me), so instead of continuing to neglect it, I reconstructed it into what is now a blouse.

FINALLY. A major milestone. Overrated as it may be, it's over with! In a few hours (June 14th) I will no longer be a minor. Eighteen, here I come! Happy birthday to me :)
