It just hit me that fall has officially started a couple days ago. And you know what that means... layering season! While Southern California is just slowly—I mean, slooowly—getting out of its Indian Summer phase at the moment, rest assured, the warm temps don't stop me from jumping the sartorial gun and breaking out my earthy-colored pieces, light knits, embroidered denim, and ankle booties. I certainly don't mind layering clothes as a buffer for cold mornings in the meantime... even if it does somehow feel as if I'm carrying laundry on my arms by the afternoon. Hey, it was fun while it lasted!

Haha, I know, when fall officially started I didn't even realize it till I came home and did my daily blog reads. I was like, "Whoa, it's fall today!?" So exciting :)

Analisa, I don't know how you do it but you somehow manage to always put together things in the loveliest way. Your layer is quite impeccable and definitely will inspire me in the many days to come where I throw everything in my closet on the floor in despair as I desperately try to put together something that resembles a layered outfit.
While the sun beats down on us, shorts are definitely the way to go! The patterned pair you have is really fun and fit right in with your earthy pieces. The little diamond pattern resembles the weave of your pretty sweater, which is rightly layered over a collared shirt. Seriously. Who doesn't love layering a sweater over a collar? Not me! :)
Then, there are those booties you've got on. They add to the earthy, boho-ish feel of the outfit and have the most fascinating heel curve that is vaguely reminiscent of those Miu Miu booties everyone went crazy over a while back.
On top of that, a cargo jacket (I'm so in love with them right now that it isn't even funny) in addition to the red lip and oversized sunglasses that I have come to associate with you.
Sun and 80+ degrees can't stand in the way of layering.
You keep doing your sartorial gun jumping! I'm supporting you and your layerful amazingness all the way <3
