operation desert fox

Wearing | sweater c/o SheInsideshorts c/o No Rest for Bridget • "Nanette" boots c/o MIA Shoesbag c/o Grafea

Donning the infamous combo of chunky knit sweaters and shorts... which makes just about as much sense as boots and shorts, but hey, I've obviously never had a problem with that one either. And if you're like me and can't live without the basic frayed white denim shorts in your closet—you're in luck. I've teamed up with No Rest for Bridget for a giveaway on their Facebook and one lucky winner wins a $50 gift certificate redeemable on their site!

Not only are you able to get these shorts with the voucher, but here's what else you can get under $50:

To enter,

1. "Like" No Rest for Bridget on Facebook, here.
2. Leave a comment on their status (here) as your entry. Don't forget to share! Everyone is allowed two entries :)

That's it! One winner will be announced on their Facebook ten days from now, May 10th. Good luck! x

orange sherbet

Wearing | dress c/o B Queen • Here Collection blazer • flower crown from Etsy • "My Beautiful Rocket" lipstick c/o Lime Crime

Flower crowns remind me of childhood days spent in the schoolyard making endless daisy chains and linking together baby's breath with my friends. I'd have a string of delicate white flowers wrapped around my head all day long until they wilted and then it was time to make another. I was in love with the whimsical fun of those head-encircling headpieces, so you can imagine how head over heels I was when I started noticing their comeback in full swing! Lately, I've been seeing countless variations of these beautiful floral wreaths from understated blossoms that swoop across the head to a colorful and bright garden variety. In the midst of getting some ideas to DIY my own, I came across this crown on Etsy. It immediately gave off a woodland, fairtytale-like vibe and I knew I just had to press that "Add to Cart" button! It's accessories like these that has you wanting to play dress-up all over again. I was partially late '60s-inspired after watching a video on the hippie movement in my History of Rock Music class, so naturally, I just had to throw on my beloved gold circle frames to further channel some of that Summer of Love feelsans the bell sleeves, floor-grazing hemlines, and middle-parted hair.

N°2 Currently gravitating towards anything and everything electric pastel, contrasted by pops of black and white.

N°3 Cover of one of my all-time favorite Smiths songs by my favorite band at the moment:

It's been sooo long since I've posted one of these moodboard posts—or any inspiration post for that matter! Frankly, there really isn't one week this term when I'm not studying for an exam, and I've only found time to finally post these up in the midst of being distracted from doing homework! A little late than never, a compilation of all I crave and covet this spring: spaced out floral prints, arm parties and stacked friendship bracelets, avocado options and lots of toast, pastel colored shoes, flower crowns and headwraps, crisp white décor, collars, tons of gold accents (as every season), fresh knits (as always), and a vacation far, far away from the insanity that is the last five weeks of the semester.
